Solution-focused hypnotherapy is based in neuroscience and works on changing patterns in the brain that keep you from being your best self.  It is a combination of talk therapy and trance.  Trance is very ordinary. We 'zone out' all the time--driving in the car, watching television, sitting in a boring meeting!  It's simply deep concentration and feels a bit like sleep but you are fully awake in control at all times.  With solution-focused hypnotherapy, clients do not talk about the past because we cannot change the past; instead, clients focus on future goals and how to get there, one small step at a time.   The therapy is positive and really quite lovely.  Feeling better can happen even in the initial consultation!  This therapy is safe for children aged 8 and above as well as adults.
