You won't cluck like a chicken!

This is the common misconception about hypnotherapy. We all know about stage hypnotists who 'make' members of the audience do silly things to make everyone laugh. I saw one myself at university and he had the students on stage telling him all sorts of private things and then

running around the room flapping their arms when they heard the code word.

I don't have that kind of power. If I did, I would have my clients quoting Shakespeare and living their best lives. We would only need one session.

What I do is facilitate change by explaining what our brain does, explain why we think/behave as we do, and how we can change it.

We don't dig into the past--it's done and we can't change it. Instead, I question you about what you want your future to look like and how you are going to get there. One teeny tiny step at a time.

Trance is just a part of what we do. And you will see from the first session that trance is very ordinary. It's a form of daydreaming. We do it all the time.

You, the client, is in control at all times. So you won't cluck like a chicken. Unless you want to!
